Alex Watson is a Brisbane-based musical theatre performer, director and producer, and a 2018 graduate of the Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium. With experience across professional musical theatre, concert work, touring and cabaret, Alex is a versatile performer with a strong comedic instinct, character-driven approach and a love for telling stories that connect with an audience. Recent credits include Bill in Mamma Mia!, Jack in Into the Woods, Charley Kringas in Merrily We Roll Along, Carmen Ghia in The Producers, Miss Understanding in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and featured soloist work with QPAC and The Little Red Company. Alex has also worked in development and album recording, including Fangirls, The Beauty Spot and Ned Kelly. Outside of performing, Alex is the Co-Director, Producer and performer with Brisbane-based company A Night At The Musicals, where he has helped create and produce professional musical theatre concerts and touring work across Queensland. Known for his energy, versatility and infectious personality, Alex is passionate about contributing to Brisbane's professional arts community and bringing a generous, collaborative and slightly cheeky energy into every project.
