Alliyah Johnson

I’m a London-raised musical theatre performer now based in Sydney. I’ve been performing since I was five years old, and musical theatre has always been at the centre of who I am. Growing up in London gave me early exposure to the West End and a deep appreciation for storytelling, live performance, and the discipline this industry demands. I trained professionally at The BRIT School before completing my BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at Urdang. My training gave me a strong technical foundation across dance, singing and acting, and developed my versatility as both a dynamic ensemble performer and a character-driven actor. Recent credits include Ensemble/Tina Turner in The Wedding Singer, Meredith Parker in Bat Boy: The Musical, and Featured Singer/Dancer in the Urdang Summer Showcase. After graduating from Urdang, I made the decision to move to Australia to begin the next chapter of my career in musical theatre. I’m drawn to bold, high-energy storytelling and love work that combines strong movement with powerful vocal moments. As a British-Jamaican performer, I’m proud to bring both cultural depth and individuality to the roles I play. What makes me unique is my combination of strong dance ability, contemporary vocal power, and grounded emotional presence. I bring professionalism, warmth, and resilience to rehearsal rooms, along with a genuine love for collaboration and live performance. I’m ambitious, adaptable, and committed to building a long-term career in musical theatre.
