About
Amelie Easton is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter and musician whose passion for music and performance began at the age of six. From her early years with the Australian Girls Choir to performing in musical theatre, bands and live venues, Amelie has developed a diverse background across singing, acting and instrumental performance. Her early performance journey saw her take part in productions including Annie and Beauty and the Beast, alongside training in jazz, tap and contemporary dance. Throughout high school, Amelie regularly performed as a vocalist and pianist, appearing at college events, music tours and in annual school musicals. She was also a member of the six-piece band M22 and the 15-piece ensemble Soul Kicks. Her musical theatre highlights included portraying Margot in Legally Blonde: The Musical and the Escapologist and Doctor in Matilda: The Musical. Alongside her performance work, Amelie completed VCE and VET Music Performance Units 1–4 and VCE Drama Units 3–4, graduating in 2022. She also trained in screen acting at the Australian Film & Television Academy, leading to her acting debut in the short film The Dreamers, in which she played Samantha, one of the lead characters. In 2023, Amelie continued her musical development at Collarts (Australian College of the Arts), graduating with a Diploma of Music Performance. Shortly afterwards, she became a member of indie pop/rock band Hazy Skies, contributing backing vocals and bass guitar. The band released two songs on Spotify and a music video on YouTube, as well as performing at Melbourne venues including The Gasometer, Revolver, The Toff and The Penny Black. These experiences have shaped Amelie into a passionate and versatile young artist with a strong desire to build a career in the performing arts. With a love for connecting with audiences through music and performance, she hopes to continue creating, performing and bringing joy to those who hear her work. Outside of music, Amelie considers herself an acai bowl connoisseur and has a particular appreciation for a good cinnamon scroll.
