Annie Macens

With over two decades of professional experience in the performing arts industry, Annie Macens is an accomplished triple-threat performer and educator. A proud alumni of ED5 International, she graduated in 2006 with a Certificate IV in Performing Arts and has since built an extensive international career across stage, screen, and live entertainment. Her performance credits include major productions such as Sesame Street 50th Anniversary, Dubai Parks & Resorts Grand Opening, Countdown Spectacular, lead vocalist on Princess Cruise Lines, and large-scale choral and gala events. Notable highlights include performing as female lead in Step Up Dubai - All In, inaugural cast of Backlot Beat at Motiongate Dubai, inaugural cast and swing of Turntables at Universal Studios Singapore, and leading the cast as vocal caption for DIVA at The Venetian Macau. She has worked extensively as a lead vocalist in stage productions and live bands, a guest soprano soloist, vocal captain, dancer and host, with additional credits in television commercials for Hungry Jacks, AXE Bodyspray, SUNTORY, music videos for NIKKI WEBSTER, Frequency Drive, live television events and composition. Developing strong musicianship from an early age through violin training under the Suzuki method, she possesses an exceptional ear for harmony, blend, and musical precision. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, she emphasises the vital role of proper breathing, body awareness, and mindfulness in vocal technique, performance longevity, and artist wellbeing. Through her additional work in performance coaching, she supports artists in building confidence, authenticity, and stage presence. With continued professional development, she brings a holistic, industry-informed approach to vocal training, mentoring artists with the technical skill, versatility, and confidence required for sustainable professional careers.
