Ariane de Souza Singer · Songwriter · Actress · Dancer · Performer OVERVIEW Ariane de Souza is a multidisciplinary Brazilian-born artist based in Sydney, Australia — a singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and performer whose work spans stage, screen, and live music. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Ariane has spent over nine years building a dynamic creative career in Australia, driven by her passion for language, culture, storytelling, and the transformative power of performance. Equally at home in a recording studio, on a theatre stage, or performing live to a packed room, Ariane brings emotional intelligence, technical mastery, and irresistible energy to everything she does. Her work reflects a deep love of her Brazilian heritage woven seamlessly into a broad international artistic vocabulary. MUSIC As the lead vocalist and co-founder of Between Us, Ariane has established herself as one of Sydney’s most captivating live performers. The band’s high-energy shows blend Brazilian flavour with R&B, funk, blues, and rock, drawing on a diverse setlist from Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson to Brazilian classics and original compositions. Between Us has performed at standout Sydney venues and events, including Lazybones, the Amazon Latin Party, and Soda Factory, consistently delivering vibrant, crowd-moving performances full of rhythm, connection, and musical storytelling. Ariane has also been one of the principal vocalists for Beliza, a beloved Sydney live act, and a featured performer for Brazilian Cabaret and the Brazilian Cultural Centre. Her live performance experience extends across restaurants, pubs, private events, and wedding ceremonies and receptions, performing comfortably as a soloist or in duo and trio formats. Her musical repertoire spans Brazilian classics, pop, reggae, jazz, blues, and rock. A dedicated songwriter, Ariane continues to develop her original catalogue, channelling her personal experiences and cultural identity into songs that resonate deeply with audiences. ACTING & SCREEN Ariane is a trained actress with an Advanced Diploma in Acting from Sydney Actors School, and her screen and stage credits reflect the breadth and depth of her talent. On screen, she has done ADR for A24, directed by the Australian director David Michod, played the lead role in the sci-fi horror film Parallax Error, and has appeared in a wide range of commercials for major brands including McDonald’s, Breville, and St George Bank, as well as featuring in music videos. On stage, she delivered a powerful performance as Deborah, the lead role in Harold Pinter’s dramatic play A Kind of Alaska. And soon will be performing in a play called “The Waves" produced by Gente Perdida. Ariane’s acting work is informed by her deep empathy, physical expressiveness, and her multilingual abilities — a combination that allows her to inhabit characters with nuance and authenticity across both dramatic and commercial contexts. She is also a highly accomplished martial artist, holding a Black Belt in Kung-Fu (Mantis Style), and has won multiple International Championships in the USA.
