Ashleigh Perrie

I love the stage, being under the lights, the waiting in the wings, the nerves of an opening night. I have a deep passion for movement in all styles and love depth and detail in choreography. Coming from a background in rhythmic gymnastics and Irish dancing, my pathway was quite different to most. My early career began in contemporary and classical dance where I am most appreciative for my technical training. I have always loved to tell a story or to find meaning when I dance, which led me into acting and musical theatre. I have been fortunate enough to have a professional career spanning almost 20 years which has seen me travel the world, live and work among different cultures and experience what life has to offer along the way. From contemporary companies, to cruise ships, dance captain and choreographer roles, circus shows, cabarets, film, TV and musicals, every job has shaped who I am today as a person and performer. I have extensive teaching and coaching experience which has been a massive contributor to developing a deeper understanding of movement qualities and details needed to achieve specific styles of movement.
