Ashstasia Sherden

My name is Ashstasia, and I am a passionate musician, performer, and student leader currently serving as the 2026 Cultural Captain at my school. In this role, I represent and support a wide range of cultural and performing arts activities, including bands, choirs, dance, drama, musicals, and other creative programs within the school community. Music has been a significant part of my life throughout my schooling. I perform trumpet in three school bands and drums in another ensemble, participating in concerts, ceremonies, competitions, and community events. Through these experiences, I have developed strong musicianship, teamwork, and leadership skills while fostering a deep appreciation for the power of music to bring people together. Alongside music, I have been actively involved in theatre and the performing arts, participating in multiple school musicals and productions. Theatre has allowed me to grow as a performer, build confidence, and develop my ability to communicate stories and emotions through performance. My commitment to the arts extends beyond the stage. I have previously served on the Student Representative Council and Cultural Committee, helping to organise events and promote student involvement in cultural activities. These experiences ultimately led to my appointment as Cultural Captain for 2026, where I work to encourage participation, celebrate student achievements, and strengthen the school's vibrant arts community. Through my involvement in music, theatre, and cultural leadership, I have developed a strong appreciation for the performing arts and the opportunities they create for connection, creativity, and personal growth. I look forward to continuing to expand my experience and contribute to the arts community both within and beyond school.
