Ava Howley

I am an 18-year-old triple-threat performer with 14 years of dance training and a passion for musical theatre, performance and storytelling. I have trained at Conroy Dance Centre for the past five years across Classical, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Broadway Jazz. I have also undertaken five years of vocal training, including the past three years with Geoffrey Ashenden. My performance experience includes professional and amateur productions including Lil Elvis Jones and the Truckstoppers (Bully Twin - Tonya), Billy Elliot the Musical (Margaret Gomley - Ballet Girl), Annie (Annie), Oklahoma! (Laurey Williams) and Christmas in Storyland (Featured Dancer). I have also performed in orchestral and vocal ensembles, and drama productions. At school, I was honoured to be named Performing Arts Captain and received a major graduation award, Petrie Shield for Service and Arts, and the Andrea Murray Memorial Dance Bursary for dedication and service to dance. Since graduating, I have been studying Music and Psychology at the University of Queensland while continuing my dance & vocal training, competing in eisteddfods and achieving my Comdance Teaching Certificate in Jazz. I am a passionate, versatile and dedicated performer who loves bringing energy, musicality and authenticity to every performance.
