Benjamin Olivera

Benjamin Olivera is a 24-year-old, performer and creative, currently in their third year of a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Sydney Con, and currently training with some of Australia's top industry professionals to build their diverse skillset. The have performed in roles such as as Al in “A Chorus Line” (WTC), Sky in “Mamma Mia” (BTC), and Man in Chair in “The Drowsy Chaperone” (SCM). In addition to performing, Ben is also involved on the other side of the table, having musical directed “35MM: A Musical Exhibition” (TDTC), “Sweeney Todd” (BTC), and “Ride the Cyclone” (CODA), vocal-directed and assistant directed “Merrily We Roll Along” (MTS), and directed “Alice By Heart” (MUSE). Ben is a classically trained trumpeter who is very passionate about the Australian theatre scene and revitalising it to ensure that all of the talented individuals are able to showcase their skills in a way that makes them shine. Outside of theatre, Ben is a primary school teacher who is super invested in uplifting these same creative values within NSW schools as well.
