Brendan Monger

Brendan is a WAAPA graduate (BA in Musical Theatre) with over three decades of experience across stage, screen, and music. His career spans acting, singing, composing, directing, and musical direction, with credits in theatre, television, cabaret, and film. On stage, Brendan starred as Barry Glickman in the Australian premiere of The Prom alongside Caroline O’Connor (On Your Feet Productions), appeared in Urinetown (Sydney Theatre Company / Melbourne Theatre Company), Easter Parade (The Gordon Frost Organisation), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rattling Tongues), The Taming of the Shrew (Australian Shakespeare Company), Unfinished Business (TPS Productions), The Seagull, Grand Hotel, Sweeney Todd, and Little Shop of Horrors. His screen work includes guest roles in All Saints, Home & Away, Watching You, Chandon Pictures, along with the feature film The Oyster Farmer. As a composer and lyricist, Brendan has written original scores for stage, screen, and radio, and is the creator of the new Australian musical Unfinished Business. Plus, he has played the piano bar and club circuit across Australia as a professional pianist and vocalist. He has also taught and directed at leading institutions including WAAPA, ATYP, NIDA, ACTT, and The Actor’s Centre.
