Brooklyn Cate

My name is Brooklyn Cate and I’m a Sydney based musical theatre performer. I have lived on the northern beaches my whole life where I was raised in a house filled with music, led by my dad’s love for 80’s pop rock. I started baby ballet at 3 years old and since then I haven’t stopped taking every opportunity to learn and grow in various styles of dance. I Performed with the Australian Girls Choir for over a decade, where I developed a strong passion for storytelling through song and dance. More recently, I have taken on a teaching role within the choir, guiding others to discover their own love for performance and supporting their growth. After graduating the Australian institute of music with a diploma of music, I am thrilled to now be pursuing a Diploma of Musical Theatre at NIDA. I aim to build a professional career in the performing arts, and inspire people the way art inspires me.
