Charlie Hartwright

Unlike most young people I've met, from a very young age I've always had the same answer any time someone has asked, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” Perform. Raised in the Southern Highlands before a move to the Sunny Coast in Year 10, I was born into a very theatrical family. Whether it was singing Wiggles songs as a toddler, tearing down the dance floor at primary school discos, or creating Oscar-worthy iMovie’s with my sisters, performance was always a natural and joyful part of everyday life. At the same time, I was encouraged to develop a passion for sport, both as a player and a fan, feeling as though I've has spent all my life liaising the conflicting schedules between cricket coaches and musical directors! After spending a gap year in England working as a primary school sports teacher, having to reprise the role of Willy Wonka in the school’s Year 3 Drama production reaffirmed what I'd always known—that my future lay in the dramatic arts; entertaining, inspiring, and connecting through sharing stories.
