Charlotte Jackson

I am a Canberra‑based professional dance and musical theatre performer with an extensive background in competitive and commercial dance. I have trained as a competitive dancer with Calisthenics for over 15 years, beginning in 2007, and transitioned into professional performance work in 2024. My training and performance experience spans a wide range of styles, with particular strength in Latin dance, including Brazilian samba, bachata, salsa, merengue, cha cha, Brazilian funk, and reggaeton. In these Latin styles I am also trained in partner dancing and love the sensuality and strength you are able to convey in dancing so intimately with someone. I am also a strong contemporary and jazz dancer, with additional training in commercial heels, allowing me to adapt seamlessly to both theatrical and nightlife performance environments. Professionally, I have performed in cabaret productions across Canberra and currently work as a showgirl and cocktail dancer for local bars and clubs. Alongside my commercial work, I am heavily involved in pro‑am musical theatre productions in Canberra, having performed in 7 different musicals over the last 3 years in a variety of different featured roles. I am a strong mezzo soprano singer, confident in harmony singing. My goal is and will always be to bring joy to audiences. I am deeply passionate about the affect movement and dance can have on someone’s life and to be able to share this with an audience through musical theatre is my proudest accomplishment.
