Deklan Haas

Still relatively new to theatre, Deklan started performing on stage in 2021 when he played JD in Heathers. Since then, he has been lucky enough to be in the Tasmanian premieres of Jersey Boys, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Kinky Boots, where he portrayed Tommy DeVito, Felicia and Charlie Price respectively. Deklan made his professional theatre debut with Terrapin Puppet Theatre as the understudy Narrator, then his professional MT debut as Eddie/ Pepper Cover in Mamma Mia! He has won two Tasmanian theatre awards from his six nominations, winning Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his performance as Greg Conell in The Boy From Oz and Youth Achievement for his starring role as Felicia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He became the first musical theatre actor to receive four nominations in one year at the Tasmanian Theatre Awards.
