Ella Monaghan

Ella Monaghan has just graduated WAAPA with a Bachelor of Music Honours. She wrote her Honours thesis on the similarities and differences between singing Musical Theatre and Jazz through comparing the Broadway and Jazz recordings of the same songs. She is passionate about exploring different ways of performing the same song and adds a unique flair to her performances because of her background in both jazz and musical theatre. Throughout her time at WAAPA, she performed with international artists, such as Melissa Aldana, and at large venues such as the Perth Concert Hall. Ella has recently been seen as Martha in Spring Awakening and Chris Hargensen in Carrie: The Musical, and featured as the leading role in the 2025 Perth Fringe Show "Fate: A New Musical".
