Emma Black

Kicking off her career on the stage from the tender age of three years old, Emma (Em to her friends) has accumulated an impressive list of credits, becoming an extremely versatile and powerhouse performer. Her skillset has lent itself to theatrical performances, as well as live music on the stage, whether in eight-piece funk & blues bands, duos, or as a highly competent and energetic solo performer. She has also excelled on the screen in television, commercial and film roles, further applying herself in the recording booth as a talented voice-over artist, and even taking on the catwalk in the fashion industry. Emma's voice has been described as a "force to be reckoned with" - a powerful belt, rich in texture, resonance and emotion, balanced with a gentle, sweet falsetto that effortlessly brings goosebumps to the skin. Emma truly feels the words she sings and this also carries through to her talent as an actor with real, honest and, at times, heartbreaking performances. On the flip side, Emma has a naturally bubbly and outgoing personality, allowing her well-timed comedic talents to shine through, too. A bright, kind and adventurous spirit, Emma is one hundred percent a team player. When asked her favourite thing about performing, she says "It is so special to be able to take an audience on a journey - to tell a story and to make them feel something. Not only to do this on your own, but to also experience the camaraderie within a hugely talented and structed working team... You're all in this together and you're telling this story. You can feel it everywhere; on stage and off, behind the camera and in front. There's nothing like it. It's magical."
