Felix Milewski

I have been a performer for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is stepping onto a stage as the Little Prince in A Midsummer Ice Dream, surrounded by dancers I completely idolised. I remember watching them leap through the air and transform the stage with such joy, sadness and energy, and thinking, I want to do that one day. That moment never really left me. I started ballet at the age of four, and over the years my love of performance grew beyond dance. I began Polish cultural dancing, which introduced me to singing and ensemble performance, and continued developing my ballet through my local dance school before attending the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and later Queensland Ballet Academy's Pre-Professional Program. Today, I am a professional performer and Demi-Soloist with Victorian State Ballet, where I have had the opportunity to perform a wide range of character-driven roles including Rothbart in Swan Lake, Hilarion in Giselle, Gaston and Le Fou in Beauty and the Beast, and the Nutcracker in The Nutcracker. I have also performed as Prince Désiré in Sleeping Beauty with State Youth Ballet Company, as well as with The Australian Ballet and Queensland Ballet. What I love most about performing is the connection with an audience. Whether it is through movement, acting, music or comedy, I love taking a character and making them feel real. I enjoy the challenge of learning quickly, working as part of an ensemble and finding the emotion underneath a role. Outside of performing, I love camping, hiking and spending time outdoors with my family. But wherever life takes me, my heart is on the stage. From that first time I stepped onto one as a little boy, I have never wanted to leave it.
