Gabrielle Arnold

Hello Casting Directors, my name is Gabrielle Arnold, and I am a twenty-year-old passionate, ambitious & driven performer. I was born in Melbourne Australia, on the land of the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation. I grew up with an extreme love and adoration for dance, knowing early on, that the stage was somewhere I needed to be. I fostered my passion at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School as a dance specialist. After five years of part-time dance training, I knew that performing was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I then began full-time training at the New Zealand School of Dance as a contemporary dance major. Here I spent three years delving into the technical, artistic & human elements of dance. By the end of my full-time training, I felt my artistic voice was truly shining through, and I was ready to tackle the industry as a unique performer. I believe that what makes me special in this industry, is my ability to utilise and fuse the learnings I have gained from each area of my training. I spent 5 years honing in on my classical technique, then spent the next 3 intensively finding my contemporary voice. Throughout this time, I also worked to develop my jazz and musical theatre language. I have never felt ‘bound’ by a genre, and know that my diversity is my superpower. My artistic voice is one that has heard many influences and ideas. I am constantly trying to stretch myself beyond what I know, and take inspiration from everything and everyone around me. I believe art is everywhere, we just have to open our eyes to it. I know that whatever project I work on, I will dedicate my full self - dancer and a human.
