About

Hannah Brookes is an emerging professional dancer, vocalist, and actress based in NSW. Recently, Hannah has worked as a resident choreographer for Austi Dance and Physical Theatre and performed as a dancer for choreographers Thomas Page (UK), Emma Harrison, and Alisdair Macindoe. She is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), completing both a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and Bachelor of Performing Arts (Honours) between 2021 and 2024. With a primary focus on contemporary dance, Hannah also has strong foundations in ballet and jazz, supporting her versatility and technical proficiency across dance styles. Hannah has developed her mezzo-soprano vocal ability through long-term training with Voiceology teacher Sian Ludlow, building strength and confidence across contemporary and musical theatre repertoire. During her studies at WAAPA, Hannah also undertook an acting elective, gaining experience working with scripts and devised theatre. She was also a company member of Austi Dance and Physical Theatre in 2019 and 2020. She enjoys performance work that integrates movement, voice, and authentic storytelling. Over the past year, she has also expanded her movement practice to include pole dance and is currently training at an intermediate level at her local studio.
