Hannah Pelka

I'm a folk musician (singing and violin), with a classical singing degree from the University of Melbourne. I've been a touring musician and session vocalist for over fifteen years, playing in Australia and the UK. I have a folk duo called The Raglins which has played at nearly every festival in the country, and I'm the front woman of the band, so audience interaction, and sing alongside are a huge part of what I do. I also play a lot of scottish ceilidh music for the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club and at weddings. I used to live in Glasgow and Dublin and played in sessions there. I originally was an opera singer and performed with Victorian Opera and Chamber Made Opera, and still do some classical performance gigs - but I love folk music, and that is mostly what I do. I'm very comfortable on stage with audience interaction, and I'm a quick learner particularly with vocal parts.
