Imogen Rowbotham

I was born and raised in the ballet studio completing all my RAD Vocational Ballet Exams achieving Distinctions. I then realised I wanted to have a boogie so I moved to Sydney to begin my Full-Time Dance training at Brent Street (2024-2025). It was my first introduction to the commercial and Musical theatre worlds and I was hooked. The expression, release and storytelling of Musical Theatre speaks to my soul and just feels so right. Being able to use my technical foundation and throw myself around at the same time full-fills little me who couldn't stand still at the ballet bar. To me, Dance is all about connecting with each other as humans. We are all on our own journeys but at the end of the day are all the same. Just trying to figure out this thing called life and have some fun along the way. The privilege to be on a platform where I can be vulnerable to open up and make humans feel seen, heard and not alone is the true magic and power of being on stage to me. At its heart and my heart, to share and perform for audiences to create an experience where they get to come and feel how they wish to feel is the ultimate gift. Because life is truly just so silly and sometimes really tough so the opportunity to just make another human smile is my favourite part. Sharing life's moments and coming together.
