Jayda Rongonui

I am an outgoing, optimistic person who loves connecting with people and finding joy in the little things. I love sunrises and sunsets, stargazing, and finding beauty in life’s quietest moments. I try to approach life with kindness, curiosity, understanding and an open mind, and I genuinely care about making others feel seen and valued. I love meeting new people, learning from those around me, and stepping outside of my comfort zone - those times, I feel, are when we learn most about ourselves. In my free time, you'll usually find me reading, journaling, listening to music, staying active, or spending quality time with my family and friends. Those moments keep me grounded and remind me of what's most important to me. My family will always be my number 1, and I am grateful for the person they have helped shape me into. I also have a genuine love for travelling, and nothing makes me happier than experiencing new places and creating memories. I absolutely can’t wait to explore the world and experience everything it has to offer. Music has always been a huge part of my life, too. You’d often find me singing songs and putting on performances with my siblings in the living room when I was younger. Even now, you'll find me singing and dancing around the kitchen with my family, and those simple, joyful moments are some of my favourites. My favourite subject at school was always English. I loved analysing novels, films and poetry, uncovering the deeper meanings behind them, and exploring why characters think, feel and act the way they do. I’ve always been fascinated by the power stories have to transport us, whisk us away, challenge our perspectives, and let us live other lives. As George R.R Martin said, "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one." That love of storytelling is one of the things that drew me to acting.
