Kara Sims

Proudly Filipina-Australian, Kara’s artistic journey began in the karaoke booth. A multi-disciplinary artist, Kara has trained in classical performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and as a scholarship student at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. Kara’s commercial theatre credits include Moulin Rouge! The Musical! as part of the Original Australian cast (u/s Arabia and Baby Doll. Global Creatures). Miss Saigon (u/s Kim and Gigi. Opera Australia/GWB Entertainment), In The Heights (SWING u/s Nina, Vanessa and Daniella, Josh Robson Productions) and Back To The Future (SWING u/s Jennifer Parker, Crossroads Live) Fuelled by a lifelong love of storytelling, Kara is currently focused on creating original music, bringing the same curiosity and heart that has shaped their work on stage into the recording studio.
