Katarina Parlato

My passion for dance ignited when I was only 4 years old, dancing through my whole childhood until I moved to Melbourne at 19 to pursue the performing arts professionally. Over 2 and a half years of full-time training at Transit, I executed and adapted a variety of choreographies and characterizations, gained experience in pre-professional performance productions under the creative direction of current industry experts, and learnt to translate choreography from rehearsal environments to large-scale performances. I have always been drawn to creative practices and thrive off collaborating with others to create new and innovative works, particularly those that challenge boundaries with the intent of evoking a genuine emotional response from all involved (viewers and performers alike).
