About

Hi, I’m Kate! I’m a New Zealand-based actor, singer and musical theatre performer. I’ve been performing since I was five, and I’m drawn to characters with a bit of spark — whether that means big comedy, emotional vulnerability, or something slightly unexpected. I’m naturally a bubbly and energetic person, and I think that sense of play is a big part of what I bring into a rehearsal room. At the same time, I love surprising people by stepping into characters that are darker, more grounded or completely outside how I might initially be perceived. I love finding the awkward, funny, messy and deeply human parts of a character. Recent credits include Ariel in The Tempest, Beth March in Little Women, Sukie in The Witches of Eastwick and Natalie in Next to Normal. I was also named Waikato Young Singer of the Year 2025 and had the incredible opportunity to open for Broadway performer Natalie Weiss. I’m a mezzo-soprano, a collaborative performer and someone who genuinely loves being challenged. I’m happiest in a room where I can play, make bold choices, take direction and discover something I didn’t expect.
