Lorna Bailey

After a hiatus from performing and relocating to the other side of the world, I am excited to jump back into performing in Australia! I am a mezzo-soprano actor with a strong contemporary belt and a love for comedy and character work. I hail from the emerald Isle of Ireland and feel that this can benefit me as an actor both in theatre and television. I feel I would be invaluable as a cover and swing. Having the opportunity to work on this at GSA made me realise that I have the skillset to do so. Roles such as Sophie in Mamma Mia! and Cady in Mean Girls are also where I feel the most confident. Contemporary musicals are really where my passion lies. I love characters that are full of energy and fire and playing Anne Boleyn (Six), Anna (Frozen) and Natalie (Next To Normal) are roles I see myself playing. I am also very fortunate that I have a versatile playing age, 15-30.
