Mak Russell Gill

Mak Russell Gill is a non-binary performer & musician of New Zealand and Filipinx background with over 10 years of Musical Theatre training and a burning passion for performance and storytelling. Based in Melbourne, they are currently completing a Diploma of Musical Theatre with Transit Dance and are enthusiastically involved with Melbourne’s AmDram theatre scene. Back home in Aotearoa New Zealand, they were a frequent performer in SGCNZ’s Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival & TheatreFest’s One Act Play Festival, winning an award for their directorial debut on Bad Auditions by Bad Actors in 2021. They proudly imbue every role with the experience and sense of identity that they have developed throughout their journey. Some recent highlight roles have been ‘May’ in & Juliet with CLOC, ‘Noel Gruber’ in Ride The Cyclone with The Ballarat Pack, and ‘Darryl Van Horne’ in The Witches Of Eastwick with Transit Dance.
