Michael Zuccala

Michael Zuccala is a Melbourne singer and actor working across opera and musical theatre. He has just completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Melbourne, where he also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Music, and has studied singing privately for fifteen years — most recently with acclaimed performer Carrie Barr. Michael has performed with Victorian Opera, Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Victoria, Savoy Opera Company, Lyster Opera and Cordelia's Potted Opera. His roles include Escamillo in Carmen, Dr Falke in Die Fledermaus, Lord Mountararat in Iolanthe, Baron von Schober in Lilac Time and Icarus in Orpheus in the Underworld, and he covers Luiz in The Gondoliers and Dr Caius in The Merry Wives of Windsor. In musical theatre he has played Warner in Legally Blonde, the Narrator in Blood Brothers and Zach in School of Rock. He works comfortably as a soloist and in ensemble, and loves telling the stories of characters through music. Represented by CentreStage Agency and available throughout Victoria.
