Mikayla Morabito

Hi, I'm Mikayla, a 19 year old who is Neurodivergent, (I have Autism, and a few learning disabilities), but when surrounded by music, and dancing, and acting, I feel at home. I love anything creative, especially painting, and drawing which I have had lessons for (painting), and self taught myself (drawing) for. I also love singing, and dancing for fun. I have not participated in a major Musical, or production, however, at the High School I went to, (Padua College, Mornington), I was in the ensemble in all three productions held in the time I was there. They were: The Wizard of Oz (2021), Mamma Mia (2023), and Guys & Dolls (2025). The rehearsal stage took a lot for me as I had to work twice as hard as everyone else, (especially due to dyspraxia which impacted dancing/moving, and Autism which impacted the sensory side of things - overwhelm), but once it got close to the performances, I was in my element, and I flourished. All the teachers commented at the end of how well I did, and were able to see past the struggles, I had at first, and how far I came. I hope one day I can participate in a bigger musical, and inspire others like me who may find it hard in the rehearsals, but absolutely flourish, and amaze everyone by the performances come along!
