Mikayla Nutt

I first fell in love with performance in preschool, when I saw a performance of Possum Magic at a local theatre. I loved it so much, that when we got back to the classroom, I forced the whole class to sit down and watch whilst I reenacted the whole thing. Since that moment, musical theatre has become a central part of my life providing me with a sense of joy, excitement and passion through the productions I have participated in like Legally Blonde, Gypsy and Matilda. What I love most about musical theatre is its ability to connect people through shared human experiences, and the way it leaves audiences with important messages that linger long after the curtain closes. For example, I performed as Pilar in Legally blonde (2025), which left audiences thinking about the show’s themes of female friendship and self-confidence. I am passionate about performing and I am looking forward to the opportunity to develop my skills in singing, acting and dancing whilst challenging myself creatively and academically. I want to pursue a career in musical theatre because I am driven, hardworking and passionate about my pursuit of performing.
