Oscar Langmar

I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts (Musical Theatre) at WAAPA. Growing up in Sydney, I started dance lessons at the age of two in ballet, jazz and tap. Although I love them all, it's tap that calls to me the most. The idea of having an endless Jam with a swing band in NYC, hoofing along to their tunes and sometimes joining in on vocals or the saxophone is my equivalent of heaven. I started singing when I was six and began to feature in various ads, TVCs and short films. I've been lucky enough to perform with Opera Australia over many years, work with Dean Bryant and Eddie Perfect on his new musical, Tivoli Lovely last year, and I'm about to put on my first solo show, combining my skills of tap, saxophone and singing at a Jazz club in Perth. Besides performing, I love the art of photography and videography, regularly taking headshots for my mates or creating a dance reel or creative films. I also have a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, so don't come too close to me! I'm inspired by many artists, but especially Hugh Jackman because he is open, humble and close to his family, and I've had a very similar path into the industry.
