Penelope Swales

I am primarily a storyteller and have done this in various forms, both original and traditional all my life. I have spent much of my life on the Folk Festival circuit and played in many sessions as well as on the stage. My heritage is about 75% Scottish Borders/North of England and 25% Southern England. I did a lot of theatre when I was young, then focused primarily on original music for a few decades, and have begun doing more theatre and more traditional music in recent years.
