Samantha LeClaire

Samantha LeClaire is a Magandjin/Brisbane-based actor and theatre-maker whose career has taken her from Australia to stages around the world. After studying Musical Theatre and Acting, Samantha toured internationally with Pen2Stage Productions, hosting the world’s first Skylanders Live Show in Dubai, playing Cinderella in the Philippines, and performing as Ursula in The Little Mermaid in Doha and Singapore. Australian theatre highlights include playing Patti Maguire and covering the role of Rose Morris in the Australian tour of The Sunshine Club, Minnie Davies in Oz Theatricals’ Queensland premiere of The Hatpin, originating the role of Hannah in Alanya Bridge’s adaptation of The Light Between Oceans. Samantha is a proud member of Art for Earthlings, a company creating playful, irreverent environmental theatre for audiences of all ages. With the company, she has performed in HOLY BIN AMOLEY, which received both the Kids & Family and Sustainability Awards at Adelaide Fringe, and FASHION 4 PASSION, which won the Comedy Award and played seasons at Gluttony, The Malthouse and Brisbane Powerhouse. In 2026, Samantha performed in Charlie and the Bin Chicken for Brisbane Comedy Festival, with Art for Earthlings receiving two Matilda Award nominations for the production. On screen, Samantha collaborated with comedy partner Jennifer Laycock on The Thrift Off, a vertical comedy series funded by Screen Queensland, which launched successfully in 2025. She also appeared as Lucy in the web series Hot Valley Nights. Samantha has a particular love of comedy, character-driven work and creating new stories. Samantha is currently working on Kill the Gods with Fake Blood Theatre Company in collaboration with Dead Puppet Society. In October, she will launch What I Did for Love, an archive of queer devotion, as part of Melt Festival.
