Vanessa Ou

I’m a performer who thinks in rhythm and leads with movement. Dance has always been my foundation from serving as UNSW Cheerleading Captain to choreographing nine musical university productions I feel the most alive in work that’s physical, high-energy, and ensemble driven. I build characters from the body first, letting posture, tempo, and breath shape who they are before a word is spoken. Alongside my acting training at UNSW, I ground that physicality in emotional truth and strong text work. As a trained musician, I have an instinctive sense of musicality that informs both my movement and vocal performance, allowing me to approach storytelling with rhythm, precision, and heart.
