About

I was born and raised in Long Island, to a Cuban-American father and an Australian mother. My passion for performing and storytelling began in childhood, and after a decade of plays, musicals and TV spots, I attended NYU for Film & TV Production. From there, my focus widened to writing, directing and producing. I entered the industry working in production for indie and Hollywood features. I was even offered a job by Harvey Keitel to be his assistant! After moving to Melbourne in 2011, I made a fresh start and began writing, recording and performing, primarily under the singer/songwriter alias Willie Coyote. After studying at the Howard Fine Acting School program in 2023, I was selected for the highly competitive 2024 Howard Fine Masterclass. I’ve also received several award wins and nominations, including winning Best Actor (Drama) at the Victorian Drama Leagues Awards in 2025 for my portrayal of “Howie” in Rabbit Hole, and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor (Drama) at the VDL Awards in 2024 for my portrayal of “James Watson” in Photograph 51. I am drawn to well-written, complex, and nuanced characters. I tend to lean toward dramatic roles, but naturally find the comedy in anything. I love directors with a strong vision. If I had to be type cast? Quirky but charming disruptor, trickster or antagoniser. But I have played a wide range of characters, including leading and romantic roles, and my love for the craft will keep my creative toolbox expanding.
