Yuka Sekine

I'm a Japanese (fluent in English) musical theatre performer and soprano with a passion for storytelling through music. Originally trained as a classical singer, I continue to enjoy performing opera and classical repertoire while also embracing contemporary musical theatre, pop, and crossover styles. One of the things that makes me unique is my vocal versatility. While I have a classically trained soprano voice, I also have an unusually wide range, allowing me to perform both legit soprano repertoire and contemporary musical theatre with a strong belt, while also drawing on a rich lower register. I love the challenge of moving seamlessly between styles while maintaining healthy, expressive vocal technique. Having trained and worked in both Japan and the United States—and now performing for audiences around the world at sea—I enjoy collaborating with artists from diverse backgrounds and bringing curiosity, authenticity, and emotional honesty to every project. My goal is always to create performances that genuinely connect with audiences.
