About

Zach is an East Coast actor, musician and theatre-maker. Since studying musical theatre at the Australian Institute of Music, where they were scouted for ‘The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’ (Squabbalogic/Seymour Centre), they have worked locally and internationally on stage shows, live music performances, film and television. Primarily working as a character-musician for plays and musicals, they have played onstage cello, guitar, banjo, piano, accordion, bass, ukulele and percussion in shows like ‘Cowbois’ (Siren Theatre/Seymour Centre), ‘The Hello Girls’ (Hayes Theatre/Heart Strings), two seasons and a tour of ‘HMS Pinafore’ (Hayes Theatre/Siren Theatre/Sydney Festival), two seasons of ‘The Wind in the Willows’ (Australian Shakespeare Company) and ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ (Little Triangle/Seymour Centre), in addition to their role as resident musical director/actor in ‘As You Like It’, ‘The Frogs’, ‘Ophelia Thinks Harder’, ‘The Government Inspector’ and ‘Twelfth Night’ (dir. Alex Kendall Robson). Other directing credits include director/producer/actor on ‘HAIR’ (Factory Theatre/ZAP) and assistant director/swing on a tour of ‘Iolanthe’ (Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney). Other acting roles include ‘The Colour Orange’ (Sydney Comedy Festival), ‘Heathers’ (Darling Quarter) and ‘Venus in Fur’ (produced by Sean Landis). For screen, Zach has worked on the films ‘Send Help’ (Raimi Productions/20th Century Studios) and ‘The Only One’ (Deeper Waters Films), tv shows ‘The Artful Dodger’ (Curio Pictures/Disney+), and ‘NCIS Sydney’ (Endemol Shine Aus/Paramount+), and various music videos for ‘Rage’ (ABC).
