Zachary Douglas

I’m Zac Douglas, a Ballarat/Melbourne-based actor, singer, dancer and drag performer with four years of experience across musical theatre and plays. I’m drawn to character-driven work, particularly roles that combine strong storytelling with humour, theatricality and heart. As a lyric baritone, I bring five years of vocal training across classical, musical theatre and contemporary styles, alongside three years of dance and musical theatre training, including jazz and contemporary. My stage experience spans leading and supporting characters, ensemble work and understudy responsibilities, giving me an appreciation for the different ways a performer contributes to a production. Drag is another important part of my creative practice, offering a space to explore character, self-expression and audience connection through a different performance form. That connection also underpins my volunteer work leading the Golden Oldies choir at a local aged care home, where I share the joy of music across generations. Alongside performing, I have experience in theatre technical work, stagehand duties, production teams and community theatre committees. That broader involvement informs how I work in the rehearsal room: collaboratively, with preparation, curiosity and respect for everyone bringing a production to life.
